Four Members Attend National Convention

This year, The Citadel sent four student members to the National Convention in Orlando, Florida between October 7 to October 9.  The four members were:  Ray Foltz, Lucas Parobek, Tom Olney and Bruce Bailey.  Dean Dennis Fallon, Chapter Chief Advisor, also attended the convention.  Much was learned through the interaction of the members from around the nation.  The primary item of interest that was considered by the Convention was the admittance of non-engineering curriculums to Tau Beta Pi such as: Computer Science, Mathematics and Architecture.  Although it was agreed that only program that had engineering in the title of the program would be accepted for admittance, a resolution was adopted to allow other programs to be accepted on a case by case basis that as approved by the Executive Council and the National Convention.
