Hispanic Heritage Month: A Personal Journey

Hispanic Heritage Month is not about dividing Americans.  Hispanic Heritage Month is about celebrating the differences that make up the tapestry of this country we love so dearly, these United States of America.  These differences should unite us; not divide us.

As a celebration of this month we have asked people from all different positions, ranks, races, languages and cultures on campus to share some personal experience they have had in a Spanish speaking country.  We picked nine of them and posted them in Capers Hall as a display. We had more pictures then we could post in Capers Hall so, we are posting all of the pictures here so you can take this journey with us.  Thank you.

"I have traveled extensively in Latin America for research, study abroad, and personal enrichment.  For me, the most important aspect of study abroad is connecting with people.  This is a photo from my trip to La Habana, Cuba in January 2017."
